    The Sixth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission has recommended six individuals to the Governor for his consideration in filling the Circuit Court judicial vacancy created by the retirement of the Honorable Bruce Boyer.

The Sixth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission seeks applications for nomination from all persons who meet the eligibility requirements set forth in the Florida Constitution.

    Applicants must be able to fulfill the Constitutional qualifications before assuming the office of Circuit Court Judge, which require the person to be a member in good standing of The Florida Bar for the preceding five (5) years, a resident of the Sixth Judicial Circuit, and a registered voter in the State of Florida.

    Seminars are conducted in local Pasco Hernando libraries as well as PHSC and Rasmussen colleges. Most presentations are from 5:30 to 7:30PM with 1 ½ hours of content and ½ hour Q&A.

    RFP 16-019 – Professional Consulting Services

    City Attorney Legal Services

    City of New Port Richey, Florida

    The City of New Port Richey seeks and solicits proposals from licensed Florida attorneys for the purpose of seeking city attorney legal services including, but not limited to, the areas of legislative government issues, land use and zoning, personnel, law enforcement, code enforcement, and contract law as well as monitoring the activities of any other contracted legal counsel representing the City. Proposals will be accepted until 2:00p.m., August 12, 2016. (Late, incomplete or facsimile submissions will not be considered.)

    Pursuant to Section 2.17 of the City Charter, the city attorney shall serve a term of one (1) year from the date of appointment by the City Council. The city attorney may be reappointed at the discretion of City Council. There shall be no limit on the number of terms a person may serve as city attorney.

    Communications in regard to this Request for Proposals may only be made to City Manager, Debbie L. Manns, at (727) 853-1021 or via electronic mail to mannsd@cityofnewportrichey.org
